Wall thickness measurement - of a steel zinc pot for hot galvanising process

Method comprises forming a bore at =1 position in the furnace wall surrounding the zinc pot, and bringing a measureing probe through the bore and up against the outer wall of the zinc pot while this is still full of molten zinc, in order to measure the thickness of the steel wall of the pot by a one-sided measuring method, pref. an ultra-sonic pulse-echo method.
