Transmission of an oscillating movement to the support table of a continuous casting mould consists of supporting the table by at least one rotating disc, the direction of the oscillations being parallel to the path of the cast section. - Pref. the table is fitted with 4 rollers near its 4 corners, two of each are coaxial and ride on a corresp. number of cam discs which are also mounted in pairs on two rotating shafts and impart a rocking motion to the table. - The method is simple and effective creating no maintenance problems.
