Mordants, bases and other additives for improving the affinity for dyestuffs or altering the fibre-structure of semi-finished textile prods. are applied continuously in the final finishing stages, by spraying the soln, as the goods pass through an installation, spray press., duration and sequence being fully controlled. for the treatment of yarns and warps, the layout has several synchronously moving endless belts, the outer surfaces of which form a regular polygon on which the yarn is wound, moving forward through the spray and fixing zones to the rewinder. Made-up articles are sprayed individually at rest.
