Sodium perborate prodn - by reacting a strong anthraquinone hydrogenated soln with sodium metaborate soln

Sodium perborate is rpepd. by catalystic hydrogenation of a weak soln. contg. anthraquinone derivs. in org. solvents, with subsequent reaction of the hydrogenated soln. with sodium metaborate and O2-contg. gas, in which the anthraquinone derivs. are mixts. of anthraquinone alcohol with their tetahydrogenated derivs. and the tetrahydroanthraquinone or a mixt. of anthraquinone alcohol and their tetrahydrogenated derivs. The conc. of the work soln. is 0.5-2 moles/kg slon. and the Na metaborate is in the form of an aq. soln. contg. 1 mole metaborate per 15-25 moles H2O.
