Uninterrupted power supply for D.C. load - using rectifiers, energy storage, inverter, transformer, smoothing element and regulator

The power supply is mains supplied and a current transformer is provided between the supply transformer secondary and the second rectifier arrangement for the determination of the current flowing in the D.C. load. The current transformer measures the magnitude proportional to the current which is evaluated in the regulator. The assembly contains two rectifiers, the first one rectifying the mains A.C. and the second one the transformed current out of a chopper inverter. The current transformer may have a toroidal core.
