Hydraulically operated landing stage for ship - with hinged sections to reach over ship's railings to shore vertical posts

The landing stage is fitted with a hydraulically operated platform which moves on vertical posts manually- or automatically controlled. It is connected to the land by a hinged gangway whose platform end has a sliding trolley. The ship end of the stage has a gangway hinged on the platform to reach over the ship's railings, with a short section hinged at the end to reach down onto the deck. The system can be preset so that the inclination of the final section w.r.t. the deck is held constant when the ship moves with loading, or with the tide, while the platform is altered accordingly.
