Flame start system for fuel injected engines - magnetic injector and start jet is combined as one unit

The fuel lift pump is double acting, whereby the piston is moved one way by a cam turned by the injector pump and in the other direction by a return spring. The lift pump gives a pressure of 2 bar which is then fed to the injector pump feed pipe from which a branch pipe is taken to a magnetic injector valve which may be regulated by an engine speed dependent cam which also controls the high tension ignition. The injector may also be fed by a branch pipe which contains a pressure switch and causes the magnetic valve to open when a predetermined pump pressure is reached. The pressure switch regulates the ignition and replaces the cam. The injector needle has an annular groove in the part which extends outside the injector nozzle.
