The string or wire clamping intended for high-pressure binding apparatus for agricultural purposes, which operates according to the Deering system, has a spring rotor, driven by and in synchronism with the drive worm of the follower which gives an additional pressure to the string holder at a suitable time and thus allows the strings to be joined to take-up higher tensile forces. However, during a necessary time period, the pressure force is so reduced that the string can be pulled back again. Specifically, the sprung rotor has as many pressure points as the follower cut-outs. The sprung rotor may be of spring steel, rubber, plastics, etc. in any arbitrary shape.
