The paint of glue applicator comprises a rigid sleeve with a bulb at one end and a lock at the other end for attaching an applicator head linked with a supply cartridge which is designed to slide into the sleeve. The applicator is provided with a handle which can move along the sleeve between a filling position and an applicator position and can be fixed where required. When the rubber ball is compressed the air in the sleeve presses on the pliable cartridge so that when the apparatus is immersed in the paint on releaseing the ball the paint rises up through the applicator head into the cartridge. A constriction between the cartridge and the applicator head enables compression of the bulbs to force paint out from the cartridge to the applicator head.
