Sledge with single rigid runner - has the runner forming the support for riders seat and hand grips

The front part of the sledge is curved upwards and the rider sits with his legs extending forwards above the hand grips. A steel band is screwed to the bottom of the runner and extends on both its longitudinal sides by about 2 mm beyond the wooden runner. A broadened reinforcement part is located between the seat and rigid runner section and facilitates a solid connection between seat and runner. The sledge is designed to be manoeuvrable and light and therefore readily transportable. The flat component parts can be a plywood or sheet plastics material and the runner of steel.
