A pulse output is produced when an integral function of an input pulse has a predetermined relation to a delayed function of the pulse. As shown the input pulse is clipped to produce pulse A and integrated at 5 to produce C. The clipped pulse is also delayed at 6 and integrated at 7 (to produce E). When the output of amplifier 8 reaches the amplitude of the output of integrator 5 a voltage discriminator 2 operates a mono-stable multivibrator 9 the output of which, G, resets the integrators. If the gain of the amplifier is two the output pulse is delayed with respect to the mid-point of the input pulse by the delay in the delay circuit. The delayed integrated function may be obtained by omitting integrator 7 and feeding the delaying and amplifying path from the output of integrator 5.
