The optician's sales service table (1) comprises basically one circular table unit with three indented recessed areas arranged at 120 deg. to each other so that the sales assistant, customer and customer's friend or advisor can sit facing each other round the table. The size of the table tops (17, 18, 19) between the seating recesses (14) is such that the glasses can be easily passed across by the assistant and discussions about their suitability can be conducted easily between all three people. A tip-up mirror (4) can be incorporated in the table unit (1) wherein the tilt axis (42-42) is a straight line lying in the plane of the table top. This mirror is particularly useful when fitting contact lenses.
