The cooker controls are more easily manipulated then the usual rotating types, of the seven-stage or other types, for turning boiler plates, baking ovens and other parts on and off. The switching appliances, in push-button, toggle or press-knob form, may be arranged in rows and/or columns. The number for normal boiler plates switches may correspond to half the possible switch positions, one the toggle or press-knob switches having a self-cancelling device, and the remainder being interlocked. There may in addition be one or more switch-off devices, serving also as a switch-on element.
