The three-pole load isolating circuit breaker for medium voltages has a base frame containing support insulators for the individual current paths and a switching shaft with cooperating actuating elements. The axes of the support insulators (3, 6) for the current path (9) of the middle pole extend orthogonally to the base frame plane. The axes of the support insulators (2, 4, 5, 7) for the current paths(8, 10) of both external poles have sections outwards sloping in relation to the base frame plane. The latter width is smaller than the distance between both external current paths (8, 10). Swing elements (12, 13, 14) of insulating material are preferably provided on the switching shaft (11) for actuating of pivotally mounted current path sections.
