Products consisting of the square of the signal value (E2), and of a first correction factor (n1) automatically found by the circuit, and also of the cube of the signal value (E3) and a second correction factor (n2) automatically found by the circuit are added to the measured signal value (e + n1 E2 + n2 E3). The correction factors (n1, n2) are obtained from measurements of three calibration solutions of know but different concentrations. In addition, a scalar factor is automatically found, by which the above sum is so multiplied, that the display is in a preselectable relation to the calibration concentration.
