Lowered or hoisted storey ceilings column load transfer - with cams on support frames and columns cyclically transposed for successive ceilings

The object is to simplify the secure setting in place of floor-ceilings, in multi-storeyed buildings, which are lowered or hoisted into their final positions. There is one set of cams (7) mounted on a ring (3) in a support frame (2), in a through-passage for the column (6) in the ceiling (1); a second set of cams is mounted at levels determined by the height of individual ceilings, on the periphery of the column, the two sets being distributed at equal intervals. The cams for successive ceilings in the series are cyclically transposed relative to one another, within each case the cams on the ceiling and the cams on the column at the requisite level forming mutually aligned pairs. One cam in each pair may be removable.
