Old door or window edge seal - has flexible strip forming sectional triangle with rabbet shanks

The sealing is for doors and windows with simple angled rabbets; the rabbet corner, against which the window or door strikes, is partially or wholly covered by a thins trip (1) of plastic, hard paper or other suitable material which is flexibly elastic across its full width. One longitudinal edge of the strip may be fixed to one of the shanks of the rabbet, the other (3) lying loose or being compressed by virtue of its intrinsic elasticity when the window or door is closed. The attachment surfaces (2) of the strips may be coated with adhesive. This can easily be applied in old buildings undergoing renovation, is sound-insulating as well as heat-preserving, and effective even if the wood continues warping.
