Rigid pvc article - with high thermal dimensional stability from pvc contng solid and liquid lead stabilisers and lubricant

Rigid, unplasticised, injection moulded PVC articles with a better thermal dimensional stability are produced from a mixt. of (I) 100 pts. wt. PVC, (II) 0.5-5 pref. 0.5-3 pts. wt. of a combination of solid and liquid lead stabilisers, the amt. of the liquid component being 0.2-2 pref. 0.2-1 pt. wt., and the liquid component contng. 5-40 pref. 25% non-volatile org. solvent, based on liquid component, and (III) 0.2-2 pref. 0.4-1.5 pts. wt. lubricant which is soluble in the PVC. The solid stabiliser is a neutral or basic lead (II) salt of an inorg. acid or a 8-22C straight chain (un)satd. aliphatic carboxylic acid. The liquid stabiliser is a lead (II) salt of 6-22C pref. 9-11C branched chain aliphatic carboxylic acids and/or a mixed soap of lead (II) which may also contain other cations of group (II).
