The definite frequency periodic signal generator for time measurement is fed from a d.c. source such as a dry battery. The generator comprises a first transistor, a second transistor, a resistive element, a capacitive element, the transistors and elements being arranged to form a watch oscillator. The resistive element comprises a first resistance whose value is adjustable and regulates the frequency, and a second adjustable resistance which controls the duration of the periodic signal from the generator.
