Multiple use rule with cursors - interchangeable scales, second cursor for following particular scale

Multiple use sealed rules may be scaled to suit the particular industry in which they are being used. The scales may also be logarithmic or linear. A rectangular rule (1) has graduations (4) along the side (3) which is bevelled and with which distances may be measured. A cursor (6) mounted on the rule by means of grooves in the edges of the base, has an index line (9) which may be placed over the graduations (4). A second index (10) on the cursor body may be placed over another graduated scale (11) of the rule. A second cursor (14) mounted on the first, enables a particular scale to be followed. Interchangeable scales may be used.
