Isotopic enrichment of uranium - by exchange of uranium III and uranium IV under non-oxidative conditions

Enrichment of uranium in one of its isotopes comprises carrying out isotopic exchanges in cascade by contact between UIII and UIV in conditions avoiding oxidation of UIII to UIV, particularly by metal of Groups III to VIII. The process is claimed to give high enrichment in each stage, works in non-gaseous phase, requires plant of low volume and has an energy demand comparing favourably with that of known processes.
