1319479 Haloamides BOEHRINGER INGELHEIM GmbH 4 Sept 1970 [11 Sept 1969] 42543/70 Heading C2C Compounds of formula R 1 CONHCH(CCl 3 )R 2 , in which R 1 is a hydrogen atom, a C 1-17 -alkyl group optionally substituted by 1 to 3 halogen atoms, other than a fluoromethyl group, a C 2-17 -alkenyl group or a methoxy, ethoxy, phenyl, 2,4-dichlorophenoxymethyl or -(2,5-dichlorophenoxy)-methyl group and R 2 is one of a list of specified disubstituted, optionally cyclic, amino groups, are prepared by (a) reaction of a secondary amine with a compound of formula R 1 CONHCH (CCl 3 )R 27 , in which R 27 is a group removable as an anion, (b) NSP1/SP-substitution of a compound wherein R 2 is a piperazino group or (c) reaction of a compound of formula R 1 CONHCH (CCl 3 )NH 2 with an optionally substituted bis- (2-chloro-ethyl) ether to obtain a morpholine derivative. The products are fungicides and bactericides.
