Automatic speed control for shunt-wound DC motor - has comparator comparing required and actual torque signals derived from excitation and armature currents
Automatic speed control for shunt-wound DC motor - has comparator comparing required and actual torque signals derived from excitation and armature currents
The automatic speed control, for a shunt-wound DC motor, has an excitation current regulator (4) which has integral properties and which is connected by its required-speed input (7) to a comparator (12). The first input of the comparator is connected to a function generator (15) that forms a signal proportional to the required torque limit and its second input is connected to a computer (20) that produces a signal proportional to the actual torque. The two inputs of the computer are coupled one to an excitation current measuring element (6) and one to an armature current measuring element (19).
