Target information is extracted from radar echo pulses susceptible to interference. The target detector is controlled by interference signal amplitudes. The detection threshold of the target detector is controlled according to the continuous two-dimensional mean value iteratively formed of interference signal amplitudes adjacent to a target signal. The size of the measuring window is adapted to the inhomogeneity of interferences. The mean value of azimuth in an actual ring (r) (distance element) and the actual store (s) (element of azimuth, period of transmission) is formed recursively from a radar echo signal (A) according to a formula specified.
