The design leaves the ends of the shelves freely accessible. they are supported on a single central spine which, in one instance consists of a metal channel of rectangular C-section fastened to the wall, long slot forwards. L-Shaped brackets screwed to this channel, through the slot, carry round pegs on the underside of their horizontals. The pegs fit down into the shelves (2) and prevent them from tipping forwards. The shelves are held up by the sections of box facing (1), which are dowelled into one another through the shelves and which conceal the metal channel. The cupboards (3) are similarly fixed.
