Flexible connection for buried gas pipes - has corrugated metal hose with shrunk on hose carrying helical wire formation to avoid buckling

The flexible connection is for pipes which are burried, esp. gas pipes in areas liable to subsidence. The connection consists of a corrugated metal hose (1) with pipe sockets (2) at each end, and surrounded by a shrunk-on hose. The latter is connected fluid proof to the pipe sockets. The sockets carry an anti-buckling protection, to protect their fastening to the corrugated hose (1) and the end hose corrugations. The protection consists of a helical wire positioned in the end corrugations of the hose.
