The capacitor housing has an insulating closure with lead bushings and a rubber-elastic fastening element securing the capacitor roll. The outer and inner capacitor roll cross sections are rotationally asymmetric. The rubber-elastic fastening element (6) has an axial through bore, resting with a tight fit on the roll core (4). Even in compressed condition the element protrudes over the core part which rises over the roll (1) face (5). The fastening element has radial recesses (8) extending up to its outer edge and of such width as to retain each one roll fin (7). The bushings (9) are in the form of cup-shaped trays on the side facing the fins. The axial height of the housing is such that the cups press the fins into the fastening element.
