Hollow ball is connected to a string and consists of a normal tennis ball (10) into which is cut a small circular hole (11). The string (12) is held in the ball by means of a peg (14). The string (12) has its end threaded through a hole (15) in the peg (14) after which it is knotted. The knot (16) is then passed through the hole (11) in the ball (10). The peg (13) is pushed by its end through the hole (11). When the whole peg is inside the ball the string is pulled out of the ball until it is held by the knot. This method produces a ball on a string which does not require any specially made ball or have the string moulded into the ball, which means it is easier and cheaper to produce.
