The seal casing (14) is screwed into a threaded hole (12) in the equipment body (11) by a threaded stem (13) at one end. An O ring (18) in a groove (17) in the underface (16) forms a seal. The shaft (28) passes through an axial bore and is sealed by two O ring seals (20, 21), of cruciform section, around its circumference. Inside the casing is a thrust washer (24) on the flat bottom (15, 23), then a sleeve (34), a ring of balls (25), a spacer (26), another ring of balls (32), a thrust washer (33), a circlip (38) and a sealing cap (39). This permits sliding motion, rotation requiring a screw (30) to be tightened in the spacer (26).
