The universal type crosshead support for giving an auxiliary stabilising force to camera equipment. There is a cylindrical support (1), at one end of which is fixing (2) for the transportable equipment. On this is a sleeve (7) which can slide and rotate on the support and can also be locked to it. There are also two hinged arms (11, 12), with hinges at the top. The lower ends of these arms are joined by a flexible strap. A telescope (5) or similar instrument can be hinged at the upper end of the cylindrical support, and the support arms can be fixed to two ears (9. 10) on a sleeve on the cylindrical support.
