Pneumatic tube circuit for message cylinders - has parallel portions of main lines interconnected by oppositely conveying branch line pairs

A pneumatic conveyor in which cylindrical message cartridges are propelled through tubes by the air pressure, has a circuit with main lines (A, B, C,) which have parallel portions interconnected by transfer lines in pairs (3, 4; 6, 7; 8, 9). One line of each pair conveys the cartridges in the opposite direction to that of the other line of the pair. Each line has an opening (5) communicating with atmosphere. Insulation between one main line and another is ensured by a sealing arrangement of the points system at each transfer point. Pressurising and depressurising units (1a, 1b, 1c) are positioned at suitable points on the main lines, and each is preceeded by a double flap valve cartridge braking device.
