The sole attachment for skiing boots facilitates walking on solid ground to the ski slopes. It supports the rolling movement of the foot during walking. It can be attached to the boot either by binding with one part of the fastener on the boot and and the other on the sole attachment. It is also possible to provide the attachment with a fastener similar to that used on the skis, in which case the attachment is usable on any pair of boots. Alternatively, the walking shoes may be attached using a set of locking pins engaging in sockets provided in the original soles of the boot. The attachments could be fixed by sliding them on onto the soles sideways into dovetail grooves provided in the original sole. As a further alternative, the walking attachment can be designed in segments normally retracted into the surface of the original sole, and brought into operation by an eccenter mechanism.
