Automatic rechargeable gas lighter - has cylindrical flint pulled over flint wheel by system of levers

The gas lighter consists of a case (11) containing a rechargeable gas container (8). A flint (1) shaped like a rod is held horizontally over a flint wheel by springs (3) mounted on either side to the arms of a lever, (4). The lever is moved by the outer operating lever (19) via a link (23). The effect is to draw the flint rod (1) down across the flint producing sparks which ignite the flame, which burns through the opening (12). A spring (21) returns the operating lever to its original position. Alternative ways of actuating the mechanism such as a push button or a pull cord may be used.
