Propellant powder - contg ammonium nitrate, nitrocellulose and polyvinyl nitrate

A propellant contg. ammonium nitrate and introcellulose (NC) in the form of granules which are coated by =1 glazing layers contg. NC and powdered Al with opt. a small quantity of Al in the granules, with the addition that part of the NC maybe replaced by polyomyl nitrate (PVN) in the ratio be only in the granules, or only in the glazing layers, or in both granules and glazing layers. The PVN, pref. has a N content of about 14%. The PVN imparts a good resistance to moisture.
