Closing devide for the nozzles and small tubes of injection and blood-sampling appts. comprises a highly elastic membrane with a number of incised slits. In the rest position the membrane prevents an effusion of blood out of the nozzle inserted in a vein or from a tube remaining in a vein or of a catheter inserted in a blood vessel. The membrane with the slits, is fixed in the connecting sleeve by the piece made from a synthetic material. The part contains the receiving cone of the connecting pieces. The membrane is perforated by means of a system of slits e.g. one rectilinear slit in the middle, two slits in the form of a cross or three slits spaced 60 degrees from each other. The cone is pushed down and dilates the system of slits so that liq. can pass both ways. After removal of the cone the membrane relaxes and closes the slits sufficiently well when a tube or a catheter is being left in a vein. Device is suitable both for injections and for the removal of blood. There is no notable resistance in the circuit so blood samples can be taken without risk or damage to the red cells. The connecting pieces can be removed repeatedly, or withdrawn for a time while a bed is re-made, thus increasing the liberty of the patient.
