The straightening press control system ensures that the operator is able to concentrate on the precision control of the ram final position and the operator can carry out precision adjustment without having to pay attention to the press piston travel. The straightening ram is adjusted by hand and the ram is actuated by a piston in a hydraulic cylinder. The ram actuating piston has a stop which travels to meet the fixed stop whose position can be adjusted on the vertical rod which is connected to the horizontal leverl. This lever is actuated by a threaded spindle and nut and by a handwheel. The horizontal lever is connected to the adjusting valve spool used for adjusting the ram. A solenoid is provided for adjusting the spool valve used for adjustment of the ram displacement before working feed.
