1481094 Supplying fiber bales to bale pluckers TOYODA JIDOSHOKKI SEISAKUSHO KK 4 Sept 1974 [8 Sept 1973 (2)] 38609/74 Heading DIN In a method of plucking fibers from a bale B wherein the bale is retained in a frame 11 which is reciprocated by a pair of conveyers 1 and 2 over a plucking roller 3 on exhaustion of the bale the frame 11 is displaced beyond the normal limit of reciprocation to a waiting position at which a fresh fiber bale is inserted and then reciprocation is recommenced. The fiber bale is pressed downwards by a loading plate 22 and limit switches adjacent conveyer 1 are operated by plate 22 at its lowest position to indicate exhaustion of the bale. At the waiting position doors 11c on the frame, are opened by means of a roller 19 on an arm of each door which engages a cranked track alongside the conveyers, Fig. 4. A fresh bale on an auxiliary conveyer 8 is fed into the frame on its arrival at the waiting position as detected by a limit switch 40 which also stops the conveyer 2 and elevates the loading plate 22 by means of a motor 33. The interconnection of the various limit switches and motors is described in association with the circuit diagram in Fig. 8 (not shown).
