Data transmission system for coalface - uses stray current cable and fixed and mobile transmitters at face stations

The data transmission system for use at coal faces consists of a stray current cable which is laid in the face and connected to a receiver. The latter is associated with a number of fixed and/or movable transmitters arranged in data stations distributed throughout the face. The stations are powered by batteries and equipped with fixed transmitters supplied by the strong current cable itself. The cable is connected to the station through inductive or capacitative couplers, and to the central power supply through similar couplers.
