Stowaway mechanism for kitchen bread cutter - operates with parallelogram linkage and container movable against baseplate for space saving

A stowaway mechanism for kitchen appliances such as bread cuttin machines has a bread tin below the machine bedplate which can move on rollers relative to it. A parallelogram linkage joins a carriage below the worktop with the baseplate and a toggle linkage joins it to the bread tin. The kitchen unit (8) with the worktop (6) has rails (9) for a carriage (10) to which the bread cutting machine bedplate (11) is hinged through three parallelogram links (12, 13, 14). In the stowaway position, the bread tin (18) is sealed against the bedplate underside. There is a seal between the bread tin top and the bedplate underside in the stowaway position and easy access in the raised work position. The stowaway position is compact enough to leave space for other purposes under the worktable.
