Sensing cylinder for self levelling headlamps - with sealed pivot point inside cylinder dust cover operated from axle

The movement of the axles is sensed by a lever with one end of the axle and the other end pushing a spring loaded servo piston. The lever is pivotted on a cross bar which is positioned on two plastic bearing blocks. The blocks are shaped to push into a recess in the servo cylinder housing and have ratchets at the end of fingers to secure the blocks into the recess. A sealing gasket over the lever and recess provides a dust-free mounting so that a fail-safe operation is ensured. The bearing blocks are removed by lifting the ratchet using a simple release tool.
