Standard window mounting on existing oversize frames - uses metal section frames set on plate glass panels fixed to existing frame

The window comprises a pivoting leaf (9) which is mounted in a frame of e.g. metal sections (7), and is mounted on panels (1) which are fixed directly to the static frame (5) surrounding the window opening. The arrangement is partic. suitable for adapting existing windows i.e. utilising existing frames to support windows in currently available standard sizes. The panels (1) may be of plate glass, and a metal section (3) incorporating a gutter may be used to mount the lower panel on the sill (5) of the existing frame.
