A machine for carrying out repeated work cycles of e.g. a paint spray gun at the end of a set of levers which can rotate about the support point of the system, employs also a scaled down and lighter version of the machine which has the same degree of freedom. The tool mounted on the end of this second arrangement is moved by an operator over a predetermined track in the same time and manner as the operation of the spray gun is to be carried out. The hinge and pivot points of this second arrangement have signal generators which indicate the amount and speed of the movements. These signals are fed to an electronic store and are fed to actuators which are mounted on the hinge and pivot points of the machine which is to carry out the operation.
