The set of components is for the construction of containers or buildings having wall plates which contain panels (5) resistant to shear loads and with slats (6, 7) fixed to them resistant to bending in the lengthwise and transverse directions. Some at least of the slats (6a, 7a) built into the wall plates are so arranged as to enclose larger or smaller areas of the panels and stiffen them additionally, and form mountings for door and window frames in the openings may be provided in the wall plates.
