Paper stock head box having a distribution chamber (3) upstream of distribution tubes is provided at the inlet to the chamber with a rotary agitator which is driven by a motor. Pref. the elbow in front of the chamber is also provided at the inlet shank with a vane driven by the paper stock flow and assisting the drive driving the agitator which is axially displaceable for removal of accumulated fibres and disposed in front of a perforate distribution plate.
