The function monitoring network has an individual monitoring circuit (I, II, III) for each red lamp (1, 2, 3) using a current transducer (6, 7, 8) to verify the lamp current. Each current transducer (6, 7, 8) forms part of a function detector (9, 10, 11), with the detectors (9, 10, 11) mounted on a common circuit board prewired for the max. number of monitoring circuits. Each detector (9, 10, 11) has socket terminals for a respective two-way switch (12, 13, 14) via which a reserve lamp of a secondary filament of the deflective lamp is energised.
