The dc pulse converter is for use with brushless dc rotary machines and has a controlled semi-conductor in the main current circuit, operating together with a second one, to provide current control independent of magnitude and direction of load. The current circuit has two transistors (11, 15) that are controlled by a regulating stage (16). The brushless d.c. machine has three windings (5, 6, 7) with switches controlled by a commutator electronic control. A current monitoring point (17) provides a comparison value with the reference (J SOLL). Any resulting error signal is passed through to a shaping circuit (18, 19, 20, 21) including a driver element (19), a hysternesis comparator (20), with outputs used to control the transistors.
