摘要
Speech is learned by using surface electrodes (1) which generate electrical signals derived from the muscular activity of the vocal tract during articulation. These signals are passed to a filter stage (4) via an input stage (2) having a filter and impedance transducer and via an adjustable amplifier (3). The signals are conveyed via a further amplifier (5) and impedance transducer (6) to the electrodes of a matrix (7) for feedback into a tactile system for the person to touch. In this way, he or she connects the touch pattern to the articulation.
