Each work cylinder of the switchgear hydraulic drive has a pressure relief valve for one side during switching off. An oil reservoir and an oil sump are provided for reception of the oil discharge during switching off from the cylinders and connecting lines between the pressure reduction valves. The connecting lines between the valves and the oil reservoir are free from oil, in order to prevent reverse pressure and mutual influencing of the work cylinders during switching off. This is achieved by air-venting, for which are used air pipes which open into the connecting lines at one location, at least. The connecting lines may dip into the oil sump without, however, the air pipe.
