Cylindrical connector with locking ring - which has rods projecting from it axially and parallel to assist disassembly of connector in confined environment

The cylindrical connector consists of a male and female part (A, B) held together by a locking ring (1) that engages their ends in a conventional manner when rotated. To facilitate disassembly of the connector in confined spaces (typically an aircraft) the locking ring has two rods (3) situated near its circumference and projecting axially-parallel from it. The rods are less than 180 deg. apart and easily accessible to an engineer wanting to disconnect the connector. Instead of his fingers, the engineer may use a U-shaped tool, which engages the rods, to undo the connector.
