Sound-proof partition panel of sandwich form - has composite vibration absorbing core held between rigid rectangular plates and including different density foam plastics layers

The sound proof partition panel has two rigid rectangular plates (3, 4) held apart by spacers (8) to form a central core which houses vibration absorbing elements. The rigid internal plate (7) is held between two plastic foam cushions (5, 6) of different cellular density and the spacers are protected by thin metal strips (2). The separate elements are tightened into a solid panel by the metal shoes (1) fixed to each corner of the panel. The shoes have bolt holes so that the panels can be bolted to U-shaped channel to form a wall.
